City of Ottawa - Pop-up clinics to accept residents from all priority neighbourhoods
Beginning
Saturday, June 12, all City of Ottawa and Ottawa Public Health pop-up
COVID-19 vaccine clinics will accept residents from any of Ottawa’s priority neighbourhoods for first-dose vaccination. This includes teachers, staff, students and
their households of any school located in a priority neighbourhood.
To check your home or school address for eligibility visit OttawaPublicHealth.ca.
Expanding eligibility will raise vaccination rates in priority
neighbourhoods and assist in removing some of the greatest barriers to
accessing the vaccine. Residents from outside priority neighbourhoods
will be directed to available appointments in the provincial vaccine booking system or at a participating pharmacy.
Residents in priority neighbourhoods may also be eligible for vaccination at the Bruyère Family Medicine Centre. Please visit bruyere.org to review eligibility and access their online booking tool.
Eligible residents must be 12 years of age or over at the time of
vaccination. Appointments can only be made in-person during clinic
operating hours, on a first come first served basis. If there is a
waiting period, residents may receive an appointment card with a time to
return to the clinic for their vaccine.
The list of scheduled clinics is provided below.

- Canada Museum of Science and Technology – 1867 St. Laurent Blvd.

Ottawa Public Library - Sunday hours at six branches / Six succursales ouvertes les dimanches
Ottawa Public Library will be resuming Sunday hours, with curbside service, at six branches in June.
Beaverbrook, Cumberland, Greenboro, Main, Nepean Centrepointe, and Ruth E. Dickinson branches will be open Sundays June 6, 13, 20 and 27, from 1 pm to 5 pm.
OPL’s InfoService will also be in operation at those times, so that you can contact us by phone, email or chat.
Sunday
hours will then be paused for the months of July and August, as in
previous years. If is safe to do so, and provincial regulations allow,
we hope to continue to offer Sunday hours after September 6 (Labour
Day).
Upcoming holiday closures include July 1 (Canada Day), August 2 (Colonel By Day) and September 6 (Labour Day).
Throughout the city, 31 Library branches remain open for curbside services,
including printing, Chromebook loans, and outdoor WiFi at many
branches. Returns and holds pick up can be made without an appointment
by lining up at the branch entrance, where employees are there to help.
Please return Library items only when branches are open. Homebound and
Bookmobile Services continue, though you cannot enter the vehicle.
OPL continues
to follow direction from the Province of Ontario and guidance from
Ottawa Public Health to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community,
and as such, mask-wearing outside in line remains mandatory. We are
playing our part in reducing the potential transmission of the virus,
while still offering curbside services at 31 open branches.
BiblioOttawaLibrary.ca,
the OPL website, is available 24/7 for virtual browsing of our
catalogue, varied digital resources and a wide range of virtual
programs.

- First dose before April 18, 2021
- For more information
The Province of Ontario has announced second dose COVID-19 vaccine booking options that affect adults age 70 and older (born in 1951 or earlier) and some younger Ottawa residents.
Age 70 and older
Residents age 70 and older who do not have a second dose appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, or who wish to reschedule their existing booking for an earlier date, can do so, starting Monday, June 7 at 8 am, in the provincial booking system.
Residents can visit Ontario.ca/bookvaccine to access the provincial booking system or call the provincial vaccine booking line at 1-833-943-3900 between 8 am and 8 pm, seven days a week. Only book or call if you are eligible.
There are currently limited appointments in June at community clinics for the shortened interval due to limited vaccine supply. Residents in this group may instead choose to book their second dose through a local pharmacy as of today.
More than 100 pharmacies across Ottawa are receiving vaccines directly from the Province. Participating locations are available on Ontario.ca. Most pharmacies book appointments ahead of time and some allow walk-ins. Eligible residents should check with the pharmacy directly. Select primary care teams are also offering vaccines.
If your first dose was AstraZeneca, you may choose to receive Pfizer of Moderna instead. Visit ontario.ca for more information.
First dose before April 18, 2021
Individuals who received their first dose of Pfizer or Moderna on or before April 18, 2021 will also be eligible to schedule an appointment through the provincial booking system to receive their second dose beginning on Monday at 8 am.
