The 2023 winter activities are now online. We have all the usual fun programs you're looking for on our new online registration system.

register.ottawa.ca is your gateway to recreation and cultural activities. Check out what’s on offer this winter. The new platform allows you to browse and filter by keyword, time, location, age range or type of activity. By selecting the heart beside the activity and program, you can bookmark your favourite options to create a wish list for easier retrieval on registration night.

Create or set up your online account

Get ready for registration night by creating a new account in advance. Follow this tutorial video for a step-by-step guide from account set-up to checkout.

December 5 –   Aquatic registration opens at 9 pm   December 7 –   Non-aquatic registration opens at 9 pm

Helpful tips

The registration system allows for more people to be online at the same time, but spaces in popular programs – like swimming – will still be snapped up quickly. Here are some registration night tips:  Create an online account in advance and get familiar with it.  Set up your account by adding family members and saving a credit card.  Make a wish list and bookmark your preferred activities. This won’t give you priority, but it will make finding your activities faster.  Select and wish list a few back-up options in case your first choice is fully registered.  Sign-on before the 9 pm registration time and get ready to enroll.

Activities

The Winter 2023 programming has a wide variety of activities, offered in English and French, for you and your family to stay active this winter – including: Learn to swim (Swim City), powerswim and aquatic certifications  Learn to skate Sports and fitness, such as martial arts, soccer and cross-country skiing   General interest, such as playgroups, dog obedience, dinosaur discovery Instructional creative and performing arts, such as painting, music and dance Inclusive recreation  Virtual programming for real-time online activities As we transition to this new registration system, and continue to evolve and improve, your patience is greatly appreciated. Mark your calendars because it’s almost time to check out what’s on offer for the winter season for City of Ottawa recreation and cultural activities. Things will look a little different as there will be a new registration system in place.
