City of Ottawa Accessibility Spotlight - November 2022

 

Register for the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities Event

 
 
You are cordially invited to celebrate the 2022 United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities with the City of Ottawa.

The UN theme for 2022 is “Transformative solutions for inclusive development: the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world”.
  
Date: Thursday December 1, 2022
Time: 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Location: Zoom

Please join the City of Ottawa as we celebrate this historic day.

In addition to the Mayoral Proclamation to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, this event is an opportunity to be updated and aware of calls to action from our federal and provincial accessibility counterparts. We will also showcase the innovative and vital work of our Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) and the Ottawa Disability Coalition to fuel an accessible and equitable Ottawa.

To ensure inclusion, the following supports will be provided: 
  • American Sign Language (ASL),  
  • Langue des Signes Québécoise (LSQ) 
  • Continuous real-time captioning 
  • Simultaneous French translation
