City of Ottawa COVID Booster Appointments Available for People 60+

Ottawa Public Health (OPH) has opened a COVID-19 booster clinic specifically for residents aged 60+. As you’ve likely heard, protection decreases over time, especially in older individuals. A booster dose provides more durable protection to reduce infection, transmission, and severe disease. All booster doses are mRNA vaccines (from Pfizer and Moderna) and either are highly effective and safe no matter which type you received in your primary vaccination series.

WHO:
Adults aged 60+ who completed their primary COVID-19 series (two doses) at least 84 days (about 3 months) earlier.

WHERE:
Nepean Sportsplex, Halls A & B, 1701 Woodroffe Avenue

WHEN:
January 6 from 12:45 pm to 7:15 pm
January 7 – 9 from 9:45 am to 4:15 pm

HOW:
By appointment only. Please call OPH at 613-691-5505 to book.

Stay healthy and active and able to socialize with friends and family (as evolving public health guidelines permit) and get boosted!
