There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback on some 2018 projects, including road resurfacing and parks projects. Consultation for the majority of the capital projects scheduled for 2018 took place last year.

Date: Tuesday, April 24, 2018
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: City Hall, 110 Laurier Avenue West, Andrew Haydon Hall (Council Chambers)

The City of Ottawa is a scent-sensitive environment. We ask those attending this session to please refrain from using or wearing scented products.

Background information

The City of Ottawa has a legislated responsibility through the Accessibility for Ontarian’s Disability Act’s (AODA) Integrated Accessibility Standards (IASR) to consult with the public, persons with disabilities, and the municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC). Consultation is required when constructing new or redeveloping:

  1. Exterior paths of travel (rest areas)
  2. On-street parking spaces
  3. Outdoor play spaces
  4. Recreation trails
Consultation

Public consultation and information sharing are essential to building a better Ottawa. The City is committed to ensuring that all City owned and operated spaces and facilities are inclusive and accessible to everyone and applies the Accessibility Design Standards to both new construction and major rehabilitation projects.

Those attending will receive a list of the scheduled projects and more detailed information at the meeting. We encourage public involvement in the planning and implementation of projects and welcome your input on these projects and the consultation process.
