About Us

The Queensway Terrace South Ridgeview Community Association (QTSRCA) was formed in 2013 to serve as a voice for our neighbourhood in issues affecting the City of Ottawa and to foster community spirit. QTSR is a mature Ottawa neighbourhood, bounded by Highway 417 to the north, Baseline Road to the south, Cobden Road to the east, and Greenbank Road to the west. Our neighbourhood contains two city parks, Kilreen and Ridgeview, and a wide array of local businesses, many of whom have proudly and generously supported our association's work.

The current QTSRCA Constitution, as well as approved agendas and minutes for all past meetings, can be viewed by clicking on this link: QTSRCA Documents

Our volunteer board for the current year (2019-2020) is as follows:

Mitsuru Kachi, President
Melissa Fraser-Arnott, Vice President
Kelly Morris, Treasurer
Directors At Large:

Barbara Adair
Barbara Lajeunesse
Alison Lynch

EVENTS & RECREATION
Our Events & Recreation Committee hosts community events throughout the year and maintains our new skating rink in Kilreen Park.

TRANSPORTATION
Our Transportation Committee closely monitors transportation and infrastructure issues in our region, including planning for the Western LRT, and participates in consultations with the City of Ottawa and the Federation of Community Associations on behalf of QTSR.

INTENSIFICATION
This committee is monitoring city planning and policy as it pertains to zoning, infill, and other challenges facing older neighbourhoods as Ottawa grows and becomes increasingly urbanized.

COMMUNICATIONS & OUTREACH
Our Communications Officer is responsible to maintaining our online and social media presence, assists in promoting community events, and working to raise the profile of our association. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook, and drop us a line if you'd like to join our mailing list.

Our Communications Officer is also currently tasked with maintaining a database of community volunteers who assist us with flyer distribution, rink maintenance, and the coordination of community events. Please contact us if you'd like to receive notice about upcoming volunteer opportunities.
