Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)

Description: The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in the area of addiction and mental health. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues.

CHEO Mental Health Community Resources List

Description: A list of mental health services for children and families compiled by the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).

City of Ottawa – Health and support services

Description: City of Ottawa page with information about finding healthcare and serving vulnerable seniors.

Ottawa Public Health

Description: Ottawa Public Health (OPH) provides public health programs and services to individuals and communities while advocating for public policies that make our city and its residents healthier. OPH is a teaching health unit and works with all post secondary educational institutions in the area.

Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre

Description: Since its establishment in 1979, PQCHC has grown alongside the community it serves, widening its array of services to address broader social determinants of health such as access to primary health care services, employment, housing, education, building community capacity, health promotion, mental health and programs for children and youth.

Ottawa Public Library

Description: The Ottawa Public Library (OPL) is the largest bilingual (English/French) public library system in North America. In addition to lending books, ebooks, music, movies, musical instruments, kits, and museum passes, the library offers a number of events and activities for babies, toddlers, children, teens, families, new Canadians, adults, and seniors.

Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre

Description: The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre is a not-for-profit organization that provides health and social services to communities in far west Ottawa. WOCRC offers services to parents, seniors, youth, children, and new Canadians.

Conseil Économique et Social d’Ottawa-Carleton (CESOC)

Description: The Economic and Social Council of Ottawa-Carleton (CESOC) is a non-profit corporate agency whose goal is to foster the diversity of the Francophone community in Eastern Ontario, specifically in the Ottawa area. Since immigration is the driving force of this diversity, CESOC has made it a point of honour to set up an infrastructure which supports the reception and settlement of Francophone immigrants of all origins.

Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO)

Description: OCISO supports immigrants through the journey of making Canada their home by providing creative and responsive programs that are culturally and linguistically appropriate, by building community through mutual respect and partnerships, and by fostering healthy and inclusive spaces for open dialogue and healing.

Ottawa Local Immigration Partnership (OLIP)

Description: OLIP partners with the City of Ottawa, local universities and colleges, the four school boards, and others to work together across jurisdictions to build a vibrant, prosperous, and inclusive national capital, strengthened by the contribution of immigrants.

Description: Page dedicated to information and services for adults 50+. Categories include caregiver support, financial assistance, health and support services, help around the home, housing, getting around the city, and safety.

Nepean Seniors Recreation Centre

Description: The Nepean Seniors Recreation Centre offers recreation programs, day trips, multi-day trips, and social events for adults 50 years of age and over. The Seniors Centre also offers registered programs in fitness, Bridge lessons, tap dancing, line dancing and Tai Chi.

Olde Forge Community Resource Centre

Description: The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre is a non-profit charitable organization in the west-end of Ottawa. We offer quality programs and services to seniors and adults with disabilities living in their own homes. We support and encourage independence and community involvement.

Description: First Words is Ottawa’s Preschool Speech and Language program which focuses on prevention, early identification and treatment of speech and language problems.

Mothercraft Ottawa

Description: Established in 1944, Mothercraft Ottawa is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides programs and services for parents with infants and young children. For seven decades, Mothercraft Ottawa has been helping Ottawa families through our many child and family service programs, which include comprehensive prenatal classes, perinatal support, parenting classes, workshops and drop-in play groups.

Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre

Description: The Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre (OBWC) is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility that specializes in natural childbirth and the care of pregnant women, new parents and young babies.

Ottawa Childbirth Education Association (OCEA)

Description: Established in 1974, OCEA is a not for profit organization. We provide Prenatal Classes, the Bringing Baby Home class, CPR and Infant Massage for families expecting in Ottawa, Canada.

Ottawa Parenting Times Magazine

Description: Ottawa Parenting Times Magazine is the leading source of information, entertainment, and education news for Ottawa parents and their families. National Capital Area Crime Stoppers

Description: Crime Stoppers is a registered, non-profit charitable organization that assists law enforcement agencies in the resolution of crime. We provide members of our community the opportunity to submit an anonymous tip with information regarding a crime. In return, cash rewards of up to $2000 are awarded for qualified tips that help police solve a crime.

Ottawa Neighbourhood Watch

Description: Site providing general information about the Ottawa Neighbourhood watch Program and crime prevention.

Ottawa Police Service

Description: The Ottawa Police Service website offers a number of resources pertaining to safety and crime prevention as well as instructions on reporting crime or suspicious activity in your neighbourhood.

Ottawa Police Service Online Reporting

Description: Online police reporting tool for non-emergency incident reports including theft, lost property, damage to property, theft from vehicle, traffic complaints, drug complaints, fraud complaints, hate crimes, and adding information to an existing report.

Youth Futures / L'Avenir jeunesse

Description: Youth Futures is a 7 month program that provides skills, information, support and practical experience to succeed in college, university and the work force. We provide (in both official languages) advanced leadership training, a variety of employment positions and a post-secondary experience.

Youth Ottawa

Description:Youth Ottawa (formerly Child and Youth friendly Ottawa) is a not-for-profit charity that envisions an Ottawa where youth drive positive change. Our vision is based on our belief in youth. We support Ottawa youth by encouraging them to seize opportunities, harness their ideas and spark change.

Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa

Description: Founded in 1960, the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa (YSB) is one of the largest and most comprehensive non‑profit agencies serving youth in this community. More than 350 caring professionals work from 20 locations across the city to deliver a vast range of programs and services that support at‑risk youth and their families.
