M.P. Anita Vandenbeld will be hosting a Canada 150
Celebration at the Ron Kolbus Lakeside Centre (Britannia Beach) on Sunday, June
25th from 12:00-4:00 pm and all are welcome to attend this free
family event!
The celebration will include a family fun day, kids’
games, a free BBQ (while quantities last), dance and musical performances, a
multi-cultural fashion show, a photography and art display, and community
leadership awards.
The Celebration will close with a blanket exercise to
support truth and reconciliation and share the historic and contemporary
relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.
This event celebrates the multicultural diversity in our
community and our country.
