The
City of Ottawa invites you to attend a special meeting of the
Accessibility Advisory Committee on capital projects scheduled for 2019.
At this meeting, you will have the opportunity to give feedback about
the City’s plans for exterior paths of travel (rest areas), on-street
parking spaces, outdoor play spaces and recreational trails.
There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback on some 2018 projects, including road resurfacing and parks projects. Consultation for the majority of the capital projects scheduled for 2018 took place last year.

The City of Ottawa has a legislated responsibility through the Accessibility for Ontarian’s Disability Act’s (AODA) Integrated Accessibility Standards (IASR) to consult with the public, persons with disabilities, and the municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC). Consultation is required when constructing new or redeveloping:
