City of Ottawa Recreation - Summer Camps in-person and online

City run summer camps virtual and in-person

The City of Ottawa is looking ahead to a brighter summer and have released the eGuides for COVID-modified summer in-person day camps for ages four to 12 years old. But for those who want to stay home, there will also be a great selection of virtual options. Please note that the decision to start in-person camps and activities will be on the condition that the current COVID-19 situation improves, and municipal and provincial restrictions are relaxed.

In-person camps and outdoor activities

All in-person programs are COVID-modified with all necessary safety precautions in place and siblings will be able to stay together. Fitness, arts and crafts, games and all-around smiles and laughter will fill your child’s summer months.
  • Low-ratio summer camps: Fun and creative physically distanced sports, games and crafts for children and youth between the ages of 4 and 12. Activities will be held outdoors whenever possible and enhanced safety measures will be in place.
  • Outdoor recreation activities: Cycling and tennis for children and adults.
  • Inclusive recreation activities: Activities for children, youth and adults with disabilities.

Virtual Camps

If you are looking to entertain your child at home, then take a peek at the virtual activities the City has to offer such as dance, music, science, visual arts and much more. They will include- half-day activities from 9 to 11 am and 1 to 3 pm. This allows you to mix and match activities – maybe art in the morning and Lego® in the afternoon. Of course, you can just pick half a day too.

Registration

Registration starts on May 5 at 9 pm. Go to ottawa.ca/recreation to browse the eGuides today.
