City of Ottawa Accessibility Spotlight - Register for the 2023 AccessAbility Day Event!  

 

Don’t forget to register for the 20th annual AccessAbility Day, presented by the City of Ottawa in collaboration with the Canadian Accessibility Network and the Institute of Public Administration of Canada – National Capital Region.

The event’s theme is "Developments in accessibility legislation and policies at the Federal, Provincial, and Municipal Levels".

Date: Wednesday, May 31, 2023

Time: noon to 2 pm
(EDT)

Please join Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, who will deliver the Proclamation of AccessAbility Day in Ottawa. This will be followed by a variety of engaging speakers who will share their perspectives on the topic, including a keynote from Stephanie Cadieux, Canada’s Chief Accessibility Officer.  

Registration will be open until 4:00 pm Tuesday May 30. A Zoom link will be shared with registrants the evening before the event. 

To promote the inclusion of all participants, the following supports are in place for the event:
  • American Sign Language (ASL); 
  • Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ);
  • Continuous real-time captioning in English and French
  • Simultaneous English and French audio translation
