Vehicle-for-Hire Accessibility Fund – Update on Public Consultations

On January 30 and February 16, 2018, the City hosted public meetings to obtain feedback with respect to how Council can use funds collected from Private Transportation Companies to foster accessible transportation services in the City of Ottawa. Feedback was also provided through an online survey.

The consultations generated many innovative ideas for improving accessible transportation in the city of Ottawa through the Vehicle-for-Hire Accessibility Fund. For a complete list of these ideas and an update on next steps, please visit the Vehicle-for-Hire Accessibility Fund project page on ottawa.ca.

Remember, you can request accessible formats of City public documents and we welcome your disability-related feedback on the accessibility of our services, programs and facilities through the following channels:
  • by phone at 3-1-1 and TTY (613-580-2401);
  • by e-mail to the Accessibility Office at accessibilityoffice@ottawa.ca; and
  • in person at any of the City’s service locations.
