City of Ottawa - Accessibility Spotlight - May 2018

Registration is now open for AccessAbility Day 2018!


A healthy body and mind are critical elements to your overall health. Join us for our 15th annual AccessAbility Day at Ottawa City Hall on Thursday May 31 and find out how keep your mind and body in top shape.

Join Mayor Jim Watson and City Manager Steve Kanellakos who will deliver opening remarks. Mayor Watson will proclaim the day as AccessAbility Day in Ottawa.

The event includes:
  • Morning: Resource fair centred on health-related topics
  • Between 10 and noon: Three athletes who have medaled for Canada at the Paralympics will share their experiences and how they maintain optimal mental and physical health. Join Todd Nicholson, Tyrone Henry and Jason Dunkerley for an exciting panel discussion
  • Prizes and lunch
  • Afternoon: Health presentations from Ottawa Public Health

The event is free but you must register by May 24 to attend.

Para Transpo customers may pre-book transportation to AccessAbility Day beginning at noon on Tuesday May 29.

The City of Ottawa is a scent-sensitive environment. We ask those who will be attending the event please refrain from using or wearing scented product.
