Outdoor swim lessons
 
To meet Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen regulations, the City’s summer swimming lessons registration, scheduled for Wednesday, June 2 at 9 pm, will only feature  programs offered at outdoor City pools. You can register at ottawa.ca/recreation. News on classes at indoor pools will follow in the coming weeks.
 
Spring swim lessons cancelled
 
If you’re registered for spring swim lessons they have now been canceled. Staff are in the process of withdrawing and refunding clients.
 
Be a Safeguard this summer
 
Like to hang out at a backyard pool or public waterway? The City is offering a virtual three-hour course which stresses the importance of water safety awareness, accident prevention, and the principles of safety supervision around water. Guardians learn how to identify hazards, risky behaviours, victims in distress, and their role in safety supervision and rescue response. At the end you will receive your safeguard certificate. This course is for anyone aged 12 and up. Three-hours to potentially save a life.

Before and After School Programs
 
Looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year, before and after school programs are now online to browse. Registration will take place on June 9 at 9 pm at ottawa.ca.
 
National Health and Fitness Day 
 
June 5 marks National Health and Fitness Day. Join the City with a fun virtual Zumba class in the morning and a virtual yoga class in the afternoon – no equipment required. These classes are free and suitable for all ages and abilities.

Register for Zumba. Class starts at 9:45 am.
Register for yoga. Class starts are 3:45 pm.
