3. Swim your way fit!

Did you know that swimming burns more calories than running and produces little to no stress on your body? Get your body beach ready with lane swims or brush up on your technique with adult or private swimming lessons. Get ready for summer at the pool!

4. Take advantage of summer sports!

Cycling education programs

Become more comfortable and confident on the road, learning assertive cycling skills, traffic analysis, general bicycle maintenance, route planning and more. Programs are offered from April through to October across the city.

Pathway Patrol

Are you a cyclist? Walker? Runner? Rollerblader? Do you enjoy using any of the pathways around your neighbourhood? Join the Pathway Patrol Volunteers!

Skateboarding Parks

Discover the 14 permanent and seasonal skateboard parks across the city. All parks are unsupervised.  Helmets and protective gear are recommended. If you are interested in learning, we offer instructional programs and summer camps for beginner to intermediate riders.

5.  Make time for Art this summer!

Explore your creative side while soaking up the sun. Escape the everyday with some art at Camp Ready, Set, Create! (NVAC), Urban Arts Camp (NCAC), Music! Lights! Action! (NCAC) and much more!

P.D. Day and Puppetry

Join us for Owl at Home -  Rag and Bone's puppets, accompanied by live music, make these delightful stories about soft-hearted Owl irresistible. Ideal for ages 4-11. Tickets are $10 each or $32 for 4. Tickets are available online or at the door. You may also reserve tickets and pay at the door.

And don't forget......
