June
marks the 34th anniversary of Seniors’ Month in Ontario. This year’s
theme is "Now's the time to start something
new," highlighting seniors’ tremendous and continued contribution to the
life and vibrancy of their community. The City of Ottawa is proud to
recognize seniors as leaders, mentors, volunteers and important and
active members of this community.
The City of Ottawa Older Adult Plan contains concrete actions that
contribute to making Ottawa an Age-Friendly community that is accessible
and responsive to the needs of older adults now and in the future.
2018 is an exciting year for us as we are entering the planning of our
third Older Adult Plan 2019-2022.
During Seniors’ Month, there is still time to participate and join our
community partners to let us know what is important for older adults in
Ottawa!
